Venofer (iron sucrose) is an iron replacement therapy that is used to treat iron deficiency anemia. Iron deficiency anemia occurs when the body lacks sufficient iron to produce an adequate number of red blood cells, leading to symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath.

Venofer provides a source of supplemental iron to support the production of red blood cells and replenish iron stores in individuals with iron deficiency. This helps increase hemoglobin levels, improving oxygen transport and replenishing iron stores in the body.

This medication is commonly prescribed when oral iron supplements are ineffective, poorly tolerated, or contraindicated.

What It Treats

Venofer is used to treat Iron Deficiency Anemia, as an intravenous Iron Replacement Therapy, and to enhance hemoglobin synthesis.
